How Not to Argue on Your Mobile Phone

It is practically inevitable that in any and every relationship there will be something, or things that you disagree on with your significant other.  If you find yourself agreeing on everything, that makes it all the more serious when you do disagree on something.  When this does occur, make sure you follow the steps below to ensure that the situation does not get out of hand.

Don’t yell. Yelling only leads to more yelling, and then louder yelling, and the next thing you know you are sharing your argument with the world.  Keep your voices calm, take lots of deep breaths, and watch your tone.

Take a break.  If you feel that you are starting to lose your temper, excuse yourself for a few minutes to calm down so that you can talk peacefully.  State exactly what you need: “I need to take a break for a few minutes”.  Simply walking away doesn’t always work; it may come off that you are extremely angry, and cause more of a problem.

Don’t go to bed angry.  Everyone has probably told you this already, but it is true.  Going to bed angry only drags out the problem more and more, which is never a good thing.  Take the talk it out before going to sleep.
